Yummy Bubble Gum

I've been so busy lately that most of my posts have been swatches or reviews of solid colors! Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I wanted to do something more fun and different today.

I saw a post Traci at Drink Citra did yesterday of a cotton candy, pink-blue gradient and I fell in love! I used her awesome tutorial but I altered mine a little bit by using some darker colors. The pink is Avon "Viva Pink" and the blue is Ulta "Blue Streak." THEN I realized this was the perfect opportunity to try out my Lush Lacquer "Mr. Bubble," which I had been saving for just the right manicure. ;)

This was two coats of "Viva Pink" with the "Blue Streak" sponged on top. Unfortunately, I realized I was out of makeup sponges, so I snipped off a piece of my kitchen sponge and made that work! On top of that, I added one quick coat of "Mr. Bubble" and then a coat of Poshe.

Here's a close up bottle shot of "Mr. Bubble." You can see all the different sizes of pink, blue, and white matte hex glitter.

Overall, I think this turned out great! It's always nice to wear something  fun and bright on your nails after several weeks of solid colors. Now I just need to go buy some Bubble Yum!
