Above the Curve "Don't Call Me Sugar" and "Grapevine"

Today I've got two polishes from the indie company Above the Curve. In addition to making great looking polish, Above the Curve literally goes above and beyond by donating $1 dollar from each bottle of polish sold to Shriners Hospitals for Children. The polish team, Angel and Shawn, are some of the sweetest people ever! I think it's incredible that they're doing all this work to help support such a great cause.

The first polish I'm showing here is "Don't Call Me Sugar" which is from their set of four Gone With the Wind inspired holographics. This one is a soft purple with a light blue duochrome shift in addition to the scattered holographic particles.

This color is *so* dreamy and gorgeous! It reaches opacity in 2-3 coats and wears wonderfully! The color shift just adds so much extra interest to this polish.

The second color I'm showing is called "Grapevine." I can't lie, I'm a sucker for purples. This polish is a medium purple creme base (very similar to Essie "Play Date") filled with medium magenta and dark purple hex glitter and tiny pink and aqua hex glitters.

This one is especially fun to apply because each coat adds another layer of depth. The base is pigmented enough to give full opacity at two decent coats, but it's also slightly opaque enough to let some of the glitter show through each coat. The result is beautiful!

Both of these polishes were incredibly easy to use and had a wonderful formula. You can find Above the Curve polishes for sale at their Etsy shop for $9.00 each.
