WingDust Wednesday: Rainbow Fade

It's that day of the week again! The day where I show you some magical creation from WingDust Collections. Today I'm showing you some colors I've used before as well as some that I custom mixed using polishes I own!

The challenge for this look was a "pride manicure" using WingDust polishes. I immediately knew that the jellies from last summer would be perfect, but I'm missing Fake n Bake (the orange) and lacking any sort of red or purple shade. I figured I could attempt to make those colors myself and it turned out pretty well!

Here's a breakdown of each color:

Red: WingDust "Feel the Burn" + Revlon "Seduce"
Orange: WingDust "Brain Freeze" + Orly "Ablaze"
Yellow: WingDust "Brain Freeze"
Green: WingDust "Lime in the Coconut"
Blue WingDust "Pool-side Par-tay"
Purple: WingDust "Beach Bum" + Orly "Saturated"

For each mix I used a few brush-fulls of the WingDust polish and a drop of whatever color I was adding on a piece of paper. Because these have a jelly finish I didn't want to add too much of a creme polish and loose the jelly look. I mixed the two with a toothpick until they were the desired color and then applied them with a small paint brush.

For the half and half look I really just estimated it and painted it by hand. Because these are jellies it was fairly easy kind of overlap them in the middle to make somewhat of a fade effect. For each color I used one to two thicker coats and top coat.

These look absolutely neon outside in the sun!

I totally happened to find a rainbow circus stick candy that I had laying around from after a trip to the beach! That thing was hard to pose with, thus the awkward hands. But it's rainbow!

So what do you think of this look? I've already been asked for a tutorial on this look so I'm going to try and make that happen soon! Would you rather see a video tutorial of me mixing a color and then painting a half and half nail or a photo tutorial?
