Cirque Colors "Thicker Than Water"

Hi readers! I've got a quick post for today to show you what I'm wearing right now. I've been feeling a bit uninspired lately and haven't really even painted my nails, aside from swatching WingDust polishes. This Cirque polish from the Kontiki collection definitely made my day and has got me back on the right track to wanting to paint my nails this week. :)

"Thicker Than Water" - This sparkling teal jelly is filled with color shifting shimmer that changes between gold and green as well as some scattered holographic shimmer. Coverage was good, but in order to not have any visible nail line in pictures I chose to layer two coats of this over Nina Ultra Pro "Anaconda Liked It" and added top coat.

I could get lost in that shimmer...

In low light the shimmer definitely shows more of its green side.

The only issue I ran across was tiny specks of black glitter (?) kept showing up. They're hardly noticeable, but when I look really closely at the bottle (and my nails) they're definitely in there. It's more apparent in bright light.

My thoughts? This is my favorite shade of teal, which automatically makes me love this polish. The squishy jelly base is lovely, but a bit on the thinner side. I bought this and the cobalt shade "Midsummer Night" from the Kontiki collection and I think the latter might be my favorite. I promise, I'll show you swatches of that one soon. If you're interested in any of the Kontiki collection, make sure you act soon because they're limited edition!
