Finger Lickin' Lacquer Fall for FLL Collection Part 1

Hi readers! Tonight I have a massive review on a new collection by Finger Lickin' Lacquer to share with you! If you've never used Finger Lickin' Lacquer you'll be excited to hear that they're known for their fun, scented polishes. So let's jump into the Fall for FLL Collection!

"Apple Tart" - A super bright red jelly base with scattered holographic shimmer. It's scented with an apple tart fragrance, which to me is very sweet and almost reminds me of applesauce. :) Application was good, but as it has a jelly base I found I needed more coats to get rid of visible nail line. These photos show four coats plus top coat.

Because of it's jelly consistency, I decided to play around with a quick jelly sandwich to show an alternate use for this polish! I added one coat of Essie "Set in Stones" and topped it with one last coat of "Apple Tart."

"Bonfire Night" - This super dark navy (almost black) jelly base is filled with holographic pigment and a mulled cider fragrance. I think this was my favorite scent of the bunch. I can smell mulled cider and spices, but at the same time there's something strangely familiar about it... it honestly reminds me of Juicy Fruit gum! Coverage was good and again I used four coats plus top coat.

Do you see that awesome holographic sparkle?! I love it.

"Cranberry Cosmos" - This cranberry-magenta jelly base is also filled with a strong holographic shimmer and a cranberry relish scent. Coverage was similar to the previous shades and I used four coats plus top coat. I will say it looks much more red in the bottle and pink on the nail.

"Fair Enchantress" - This polish features a pinky-plum jelly base and is filled with copper and gold hexes in a couple of sizes. Coverage was great and these photos show three coats plus top coat. This polish is one of the unscented shades in the collection.

"Harvest Moon" - This last shade features a lemon yellow jelly base with a tiny bit of holographic shimmer. This shade is also unscented. As far as application goes, I had to try a couple of different things. The first photo above shows four coats and top coat. As you can tell, it's still not very opaque and I'm not sure that you could ever build this up to cover your nail line. The second photo shows three coats over white plus top coat.

Because it was so thin I also decided to try this one in a jelly sandwich and added a layer of LA Girl "Splatter" in the middle. The glitter definitely helps to cover up some of my nail line and I still think this is a fun, Fall appropriate combination!

My thoughts? If you approach the holos knowing that they have a jelly base, I think you'll really enjoy them. So often holos have a crelly or metallic base, so it's definitely fun to have some holos to make jelly sandwiches with. I love the color combination especially in "Fair Enchantress."

This Fall for FLL collection is releasing TONIGHT at 8pm EST from the Finger Lickin' Lacquer Etsy shop. Make sure you also follow Finger Lickin' Lacquer on Facebook for information about new shades and collections. Make sure you check back soon for part two of this nine piece collection!
