I know, I'm cutting it close on this post! I was out late last night with the husband, slept in late this morning (yay for lazy Saturday mornings), and then took my sweet time finishing up my nails for this post. AND I got completely finished only to find that I was out of acetone! I couldn't take pictures without clean-up! x_x

So, despite my lateness today, I was really excited to do this manicure! This was one of the first Christmas themed attempts at nail art that I started with when I was really getting into nail art this time last year! I thought about doing this all with tape, but I was curious to see a comparison of my freehand abilities between this and last year's manicure.
I started with a base of Sally Hansen "White On" and hand painted the red stripes with Zoya "Sooki." The lines aren't perfect, but I think it turned out pretty good for freehand.
I even picked up a jumbo candy cane on my run to the store for more acetone! I knew I just had to have one to hold for these photos.
Lastly, I added a coat of Sally Hansen "Diamonds" to try and get closer to the candy cane manicure I did last year. Below is a comparison between this year and last year. I'm astounded by how much nicer my nails look, how much longer they are, and how much more detailed this manicure turned out compared to last year! Not to mention, my nail photo taking skills are so much better. I'm so proud of myself! :P
Thanks for reading! :D
I love this - it turned out awesome! :)
