Born Pretty Store Glow in the Dark Polish Review!

Hi readers! Thanks for (hopefully) sticking with me while I was busy, took a small vacation with my husband, and got some new posts ready for your viewing pleasure! Today I've got three polishes from Born Pretty Store to show you!

Not only do these polishes come in ADORABLE little bottles, but they also have a few extra surprises hiding inside. First of all, they glow in the dark! Secondly, (and I don't know if this is 100% true because I couldn't find anything about it in the description) when they dry they smell like lychee!

The colors I have today are...

32: A bright baby blue creme that has a hint of aqua.
19: A HOT pink jelly that leans red.
39: A super light pink with flecks of shimmer.

Number 32 covered very nicely and seemed to level itself out well. I used two coats and finished it with a top coat. Dry time did seem to be quite long, though. I should also mention that the bottom of this bottle arrived totally cracked, although I don't think it happened in transit because there was no glass in the package. Thankfully, it wasn't so bad that the bottle was broken or unusable.

And here is number 32 glowing! This was after holding my hand under a lamp for a good 3-4 minutes. I'll fully admit, the glow doesn't last long with these. As I was taking photos, I could visibly watch it fade away within seconds.

Number 19 looks super juicy with lots of shine, but it was a bit of a pain. I want to say this is five coats of polish and there is still a tiny bit of visible nail line. Even with jellies, I'd like to be able to reach opacity by 3-4 coats. That said, I really do love the color!

I found that this one was the weakest glowing of the three. The particles did seem to glow more of a yellow while the other two look more green when glowing. I think it's neat though how even though the particles glow yellow, the pink of the polish still shows through!

Number 39 was also somewhat of a problem child. I started with one coat of white and added three coats of 39, followed by top coat. As you can see, things are still a bit patchy. :/ I think maybe a second coat of white would help to make things a little more even.

Despite the thin formula, 39 seemed to glow the best! The actual glow particles mixed with the color of the polish almost seemed to glow a little more whitish compared to the green of number 32.

If you're interested in picking up some of these for yourself, you can find them HERE on the Born Pretty Store site! They come in a 12ml bottle and sell for $4.99 each, but it looks like they're cheaper if you buy a larger quantity. They also have more than 40 different shades to choose from! Personally, I'd really like to try out some more of the creme shades! In addition to these polishes, you can find TONS of other polishes, nail art supplies, and even cosmetics.

Lastly, they were kind enough to provide me with a coupon code for all of my readers! Simply enter the code "XPL91" to receive 10% off your order!
