Lush Lacquer "Freckles"

I promise, I didn't intend to abandon you this week! I kept forgetting to find the time to sit down and get photos edited and a post put together. Then the weekend happened and I was away celebrating my first anniversary with my husband! I think that's a pretty legit excuse. ;)

You might ask, "But what did you wear on your nails for your fun weekend?" This answer is this! Two coats of Sinful Shine "Wisp" with three coats of Lush Lacquer "Freckles" on top. Freckles was a gift from an amazing friend of mine (<3!) and I couldn't wait to get it on my fingers!

Lush Lacquer "Freckles" - A clear base filled with a rainbow of neon hexes in a couple different sizes. These glitters are interesting in that they aren't metallic, but they also aren't totally matte. They are actually fairly transparent, which adds an whole new level to this polish because you'll get interesting color mixes where two pieces of glitter overlap! I did find that despite how loaded the bottle seemed to be, the glitter itself was somewhat sparse in application. Like I said above, this was three coats. Finished with Seche Vite.

Despite the somewhat spares application, I'm loving this glitter! Usually I'm fairly anti-clear-based-glitters, but when unique ones like this come along I make an exception. ;) I love all things rainbow and all things neon, so a polish that combines the two makes my head explode. I even had someone ask me if these were nail stickers!

So, do you love neon? Do you love rainbows? If you answered yes to these questions, you should probably hop on over to the Lush Lacquer Etsy shop and pick up a bottle for yourself! A full size bottle sells for $9.

On a somewhat related note, Google Reader is (stupidly) shutting down today.
