Born Pretty Store - Sweet Color Flakies

Today I have two new polishes from Born Pretty Store to show you! These flakie filled polishes feature a jelly base and come in 11 different colors, which you can find right here. I'm going to show you #4 and #11!

#4 - This shade has a dusty navy base with flakies that primarily shift between red, orange, and little bit of yellow. The base color looks more dense in the bottle than it is on the nail, so I chose to layer it over L'Oreal "Rainy Piccadilly," a navy blue creme. This reminds me of other similar flakies (Essie "Shine of the Times," E.L.F. "Fairy Dust," Nubar "2010," Sally Hansen "Hidden Treasure," the Nfu Oh flakies, etc.) but #4 also has some pretty strong purple coloring throughout. The addition of orange and purple reminds me of Finger Paints "Asylum." (I'm still kicking myself for not getting that one.) I found the flakie particles to be large and plentiful. I used two coats for these pictures.

#11 - This second shade has a much more pigmented, deep red jelly base. The color shift of the flakies in this one is much more like the other dupes that I mentioned and doesn't have any of the purple shift that #4 has. I layered this one over the red creme Essence "Do You Speak Love" and found that I the flakies were much more sparse in this one. I used three coats for the photos here.

I really like these two shades! Although they're similar to other flakie polishes on the market, they're cheaper/easier to get a hold of than some alternatives. For someone like me who loves this type of polish, I can never have enough! If you're looking for polishes, tools, or anything really to do with nail art, make sure you check out Born Pretty Store!
