Hi readers! Today I have a five piece holiday collection to share with you from Splendor Nail Lacquer! Each shade is based on a sweet and meaningful holiday tradition that creator Leslee shares with her family for the holidays. Leslee says "It is a simple collection but like many of my holiday memories it isn't always the most complex and expensive things that keep your heart." :)
"Bing" - A shimmering cranberry red base with a touch of scattered holographic sparkle and just the slightest pink duochrome flash. My photos show three coats plus top coat. Based on Bing Crosby from the movie White Christmas!
"Popcorn Garland" - A clear based glitter topper filled with small white squares, matte and satin white hexes, and matte white circles. My photos show one coat on top of "Bing" plus top coat. Based on the tradition of making homemade popcorn garlands to decorate the tree.
"Pudding Sauce" - A pale nude-gold metallic. My photos show four coats plus top coat. Based on a family recipe for a steamed carrot pudding served with a buttery caramel sauce.
"Balsam" - A shimmering forest green with almost a charcoal duochrome effect. My photos show three coats plus top coat. Based on hunting down the perfect balsam Christmas tree.
"Tinsel" - A metallic silvery-gray filled with linear holographic particles. My photos show three coats plus top coat. Based on the super metallic shimmering tinsel decorations used to make a Christmas tree sparkle.
My thoughts? I love that as a whole this collection screams Christmas. You've got red, green, silver, gold (ish), and a topper that almost looks like snow. Individually, you could wear any of these throughout the year and they can stand alone as normal colors. My stand-out favorite has to be "Balsam," not just because it's green but because it's a truly unique green. It shimmers just right and is one of those polishes that almost looks like it's glowing.
