PRESS SAMPLE
(Usually I include a note at the bottom to inform readers if a product was sent to me for review or if I purchased it, but I've decided to start including a "Press Sample" note at the top of my posts for extra clarity!)
Some of you readers may know that from July 10th through the 14th I was attending the Cosmoprof North America exhibition in Las Vegas! It was my first official event where I was able to attend with a Press Pass and I had an incredible experience. If you want all the details of my trip make sure you head over to www.nailnewscast.com and listen to the podcast episode where myself, Courtney (Swatcher, Polish-ranger), and Ida (Ida Nails It) talk about our experiences there.
To start off my looong line of posts reviewing products I received while at the convention I decided to go with this gorgeous box from Leighton Denny! The rep at their booth was so incredibly nice and was happy to let us take pictures!
This is a brand that I have always wanted to try, but have never really had access to it. As soon as I finished swatching these shades I actually went looking for a place to buy more, but haven't had any luck so far.
"Supermodel" - A nude-ish beige creme. It looks a little bit more pink in the bottle, but ends up looking more brown on the nail. I usually am not a fan of brown polishes, but this one is incredibly flattering with my skin tone! Application was lovely and it might have been a one-coater if I had had more polish on the brush when I first started applying. I used two coats plus top coat.
"Provocative" - A bright and squishy classic red crelly. (Probably more like 60% creme and 40% jelly.) Application was once again really easy and it leveled itself out so nicely. At one coat it was fairly opaque, but I could still see some visible nail line. I used two coats plus top coat.
"Vamp" - A super dark burgundy creme. In the bottle it looks a bit more red-brown, but as you layer it up on the nail it gets darker than it appears in the bottle. The name is totally perfect for this one! It was opaque at two coats, but I had some thin patches at the tips of my nails so I added a third coat. Finished with top coat, of course.
Swatch Summary
Brand name: Leighton Denny
Where to buy: Not sure where to buy in the US, but here's their website: www.leightondenny.com
Where to follow: Facebook & Instagram
My opinion: Like I said before, Leighton Denny is a brand that I've always wanted to try (not going to lie, mostly because I LOVE the clear acrylic caps lol!) and they totally exceeded my expectations. All three colors applied so nicely and smoothed themselves out to a perfect, shiny finish. On their own they dry pretty quickly, but the Crystal Finish top coat is also a great product. My nails were dry before I even noticed it and looked super glossy. It has a much thinner consistency than other quick drying top coats that I'm used to tend to have. I can't wait to try it with some of my other polishes.
I haven't used any of the care products or tools yet, but I will definitely keep you updated on my opinions of them as soon as I do.
As always, thanks for reading!

Inside the silver, glitter-covered box I found a whole line of nail care products, tools, and polish shades. Included was:
- Marvel Balm in the Floral Scent
- Slick Tips Cuticle & Nail Oil
- Remove & Rectify Cuticle Remover
- Renovate Nail Repair Cream
- Miracle Mist Speed Dry Spray
- Under Cover Matte Finish Base Coat
- Crystal Finish Quick Drying Top Coat
- High Performance Nail Colors in the shades "Supermodel", "Provocative", and "Vamp"
- A glass nail file
- A plastic cuticle pusher
- A double sided buffer
Crazy generous, right?
From left to right these shades are "Supermodel", "Provocative", and "Vamp".
